Welcome to the Meryan House Hotel Website where our guests receive individual attention and unrivalled hospitality when visiting this fascinating house.
Over 400 years old, and set in delightful grounds only one mile from the centre of Taunton. The owners have opened up three of the original inglenook fireplaces and a complete working well over 30 feet deep, which was uncovered in the kitchen.
The bedrooms are individually decorated with antique furniture and the luxurious honeymoon room has a Half Tester Bed. All rooms are en suite and have a hospitality tray, radio/baby/alarms, direct dial telephones and remote control LCD televisions. Extra touches include luxury toiletries, sweets and paper handkerchiefs.
For the last three years, the Hotel's gardens have won the 'Taunton In Bloom' Best Hotel Category. The hotel has two rare breed of dogs called "Dandy Dinmonts", Bubbles will announce your arrival. she is a proper little madam, with here own fan club, and poor old spike has passed away, but his place is taken by "Dazzle" who will be appearing at Crufts in 2008, look out for him as he is a champion.(and because of this we do not accept dogs staying at the Hotel anymore)

Meryan House has its own restaurant where local seasonal produce is used as much as possible. There is a balanced a la carte menu as well as daily specials. it is adviseable to see if the Restaurant is open as there is usually private parties going on at weekends.
